This Will Not Stop Here is a short film featuring Miles Aceves-Lewis (Georgetown College of Arts and Sciences ’22), a participant observer during the historic student activism at Georgetown in 2019. This activism led to the first student vote endorsing reparations for Slavery in American History. As a member of the student government, Miles contributed to the deliberations around the referendum. As an activist, he joined fellow GU272+ Student Advocates to demand remembering, accountability, and reparative justice. As a documentarian, he researched and wrote a unique narrative of this activism. In this short film, Miles shares selections from this narrative, connecting reparations at Georgetown with wider historical, contemporary, and personal contexts.
